Many lifters and trainees in the iron game are suffering from a lack of results.  Why?

The truth of the matter is simple: they are just not as committed to the process as they want to believe.

I have known many folks who have gone to the gym 4, 5, even 6 days per week for years.  They may even post a healthy meal every so often on social media.

But their physiques and their performances never change.  In fact, they get worse over time.

How can somebody who works out frequently actually regress while training?

The principle that I will share today will illustrate why some lifters get great results and why some lifters remain average or worse.  That principal is:

1) You Are Either In Or You Are Out

You have to be committed to excellence if you want to build a great body.

In the iron game there is no time for halfway lifters.

There is no time for halfway trainers.

There is no time for halfway bodybuilders or halfway athletes.  Like the kids say today, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”

The C-line or commitment line is the line that separates who is seeing progress and who is not.

If you have stepped over the C-line then you are truly serious about unleashing your inner greatness.

If you are hanging out behind the C-line then you are still playing games and lying to yourself about how serious you think you are.

Actions always speak much louder than hollow words and promises.

Many folks talk the talk about being committed to excellence but 99.9 percent of the time they will never walk the walk.

It takes more than just going through the motions at the gym and doing the same lame workout every single time.

It takes more than taking selfies from advantageous angles in the corner of the gym to post on Instagram for cheap “likes.”

A committed lifter doesn’t need “likes” to fuel their lifting.  He or she thrives when nobody is watching.

Athletes who are committed to the process accept that going from average to great is not easy.

Lifters who are committed are consistently planning their pre and post workout nutrition.

The difference between you winning or losing the physique building game will be your commitment.  If you are not truly committed to changing your situation then it will never happen.

I was a lousy sprinter my freshman year at East Stroudsburg University because I was not truly committed to getting faster.

When I got serious about running faster times, I became a better sprinter.

My business was absolutely hollow during the first 3 years of its existence.

I was not 100 percent committed to excellence and I was not making the moves to make my business grow.  When I zoned in on making it grow and expand, it grew.

Conclusion

This week I challenge you to commit to something within the scope of your training.

Go to the gym and commit to lifting heavier weights.

When you are at home commit to preparing healthier meals.

Then commit to having a positive outlook on your situation.  Being committed to excellence accepts that the setbacks and hardships are a part of the journey.

If you truly commit, I promise you that you will be on your way to making your goals a reality.
