There are two types of people in the iron game: winners and losers.

What is the difference between winners and losers?  Winners get the job done, and losers do not.

It’s that simple.

What Winners Do

Winners want to transform their physique, improve their athletic performance, and get stronger. They go to the gym and take care of business.

They have a consistent training schedule. They train every week, month, and year. They prepare the majority of their meals at home. They stay consistent with their diet, and they do not let bad habits rule over them like a dictator.

When it comes to sleep and recovery, they put a priority on getting quality sleep. They make efforts to reduce their stress levels. This leads them to have a sound mind and a fresh body.

When they look in the mirror over time, they can see the fruits of their labor. Lifters and natural bodybuilders can see bigger and more defined muscles. They can also see and feel the higher lifting numbers in the gym.

Athletes can also see increased speed and higher vertical jumping numbers. They can also see improved performances in their sport. Winners not only have a high degree of confidence, but they also have the work ethic and drive to get any job done.

Winners do not make excuses and blame others when things don’t go their way. Winners take responsibility for their failures.

What Losers Do

Losers want to transform their physique, improve their athletic performance, and get stronger.  They go to the gym, but they don’t take care of business.

They have an inconsistent training schedule. Some days and weeks they train. But there are many more days and weeks that they do not work out. Over the course of a year, they skip many of their workouts. They do not prepare the majority of their meals at home. They eat takeout often, and they let bad habits rule over them like a tyrant.

When it comes to sleep, they rest enough to barely get by. But they don’t get enough to restore their minds and bodies.

When they look in the mirror over time, they cannot see the fruits of their labor. They look in the mirror and see an out-of-shape body. They do not see bigger and more defined muscles. And their numbers in the gym have gotten worse.

They also see slower times on the track and lower vertical jumping numbers. And they see poor performances in their sport. The most demoralizing feeling in the iron game is seeing no progress, but guess what? The responsibility falls on you.

Losers have delusions of grandeur about their reality. Losers make loads of excuses and always blame others when things don’t go their way. They do not take responsibility for their failures.

Losers are always looking for the easy way out, but there is no easy way out in the iron game. Nothing in life worth anything comes easy.

Conclusion

If you want to become a winner, start doing what winners do.

I’ll holla at you next time.
