Every year the dreaded New Year Resolutions rise like the Phoenix. Everyone has made them including me. But, few have kept them.
New Year resolutions to do better in the coming year sound great coming out of your mouth. But what happens when it is June and you have not accomplished anything that you resolved to do?
It means you have lied to yourself and others about what you were going to do. I learned over time that it was better to just act now on something rather than procrastinate until January 1 and sell a phony prophecy about what you are going to do.
In fitness, the resolution to get fit or lose weight occurs every single year. Admirable, but fatally mistaken.
I have witnessed these hollow resolutions far too often in my training career. Commercial gyms take advantage on the new members’ insecurities by promising the world as long as they are making their contracted monthly payment of $49.99 for the next 3 years. The endless cycle goes on year after year.

Do you want to get strong? ACT NOW!
Do you want to lose weight? ACT NOW!
You do not have to wait until January 1st to resolve to do all these wonderful things in front of your friends just to sound good for a moment. I am holding you accountable. Just do it now, do it today, and do it for yourself.
