The media always plays tricks on us. The one trick they play that directly affects me is when they present very fast physique transformations.
A person may see someone go from zero to hero overnight using the newest 90 day program and think “I can do that too!”
When many folks begin to train they want instant results just like the commercials promise. But this is what the average person does not know.
They do not know if the person shown even used that training program.
They do not know if the person shown used steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs.
They do not know if the person shown in the before and after pictures has been heavily photoshopped.
As an industry insider, I can tell you with 100 percent that if it is too good to be true, then it is too good to be true.
Steroid use and photoshop is all too common in the fitness industry. The overwhelming majority of fitness models do this.
How do you think that woman appears as if she has the perfect Coke-bottle frame? How do you think that man is big, ripped, and freaky looking? The goal is to present an unattainable physique to the masses.
This leads to what the presenter is truly after…the almighty dollar.
There are no quick fixes in building your body. It is a journey that will require time.
It takes time to get strong.
It takes time to build muscle.
It takes time to change your mental outlook.
It takes TIME.
Nothing in life worth anything ever happened overnight.
You cannot give up.
You cannot quit.
You cannot give into doubt.
Success requires struggle. Keep grinding.
I’ll holla at you next time.
