Hey, everybody, it is Motivational Monday!
The push-up is the classic, upper body builder.
Performed properly you can expect great gains in strength, muscle, and conditioning.
But what stops many trainees and lifters from reaching their potential in the push-up is their ego.
I’ve seen trainees with form that looked so scary I thought I was watching a horror film!
They refused to change because they did not want to look weak performing regressions of the push-up. They refused to change because they did not want to spend the time to learn about how to do push-ups better.
They would rather perfrom those horrendous, alligator-arm reps every week in the gym. Listen, if your ego is artificially inflated like an Instagram “model” is in her buttocks, then you will never attain greatness in the push-up.
Fake hustle is unacceptable. Sometimes the best plan of action is to take a step back, in order for you to move forward.
Bad execution will lead to bad results. And bad results lead to you going nowhere fast on the Gains Train.
